Lab Testing

Lab testing

Dr. Deanna uses a variety of diagnostic tools to assess the health of her patients. The following is a list of lab testing she may recommend.

  1. Blood work: Conventional blood work like cholesterol, blood sugar, thyroid, iron and Vitamin D.
  2. DUTCH Test:  A comprehensive dried urine test that measures estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, cortisol and melatonin.  It provides an in depth look at hormonal balance and adrenal status.
  3. Saliva Hormone Testing: Used to assess the balance of active hormones (estrogen, progesterone, cortical, DHEA, and testosterone) in the body. Male and Female Panels are available.
  4. Food Allergy/Sensitivity Testing: A blood test or finger prick test used to assess sensitivities to hundreds of different foods. Different food panels are available depending on individual patient needs.
  5. Adrenal Function Panel: Used to assess cortisol levels throughout the day and the body’s ability to cope with stress.
  6. Bowel tests including leaky gut and parasite testing.  A variety of different tests are available including the GI-Map, Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis, and several others.  These are used to assess the health of the gastrointestinal tract and identify any parasites that may be present.
  7. SIBO test: Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth is a condition that can lead to gastrointestinal symptoms including gas, bloating, nausea, constipation, diarrhea and is associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.  This breath test measures hydrogen and methane and helps to diagnose SIBO.
  8. Urine Analysis: Used to assess Kidneys health, hydration and acidity levels.
